The Vessels section of this website provides basic information about vessels (name(s), dates, builder, owners, etc.), as well as all the artifacts and archives in our collections that relate to that vessel. Please search for a vessel name, or browse using the list below and refine using the filters.
A note about vessel names: Many vessels share the same name. To differentiate between them, we assign a number to each iteration. The first vessel to be known by a name is given a (I) at the end of the name. For example: HMS Discovery (I). Subsequent vessels with the same name are assigned numbers in sequence. For example: HMS Discovery (II).
