Administrative history / Biographical sketch
Wood worked as a radio operator in many locations along the West Coast. His favourite area was Estevan Point, where he worked in 1958. He was mentored by Chief George Ignace of Hesquiaht and helped to build a wooden chute to augment the water supply to the Point when there was a dry year.

The collection consists of photographs taken in Estevan and Hesquiaht around 1958-1959, at the time when Wood was based there.
