Description

Graphite pencil drawing of a large sailing vessel at sea. There are faint water marks on the drawing as though rain was hitting it from the left. On the back, pencil text, illegible in places, reads "Ship Sutley [?]: East Indian[illegible]. Captain HKA [?] Javier. 1200 tons." An illegible signature could read "C. W. R. J[illegible]. Dec. 9th 1858. Calcutta."
