Brass Tobacco Box

A brass tobacco box. The box has a lid attached to a hinge. The lid is very ornate, and has an image of Princess Mary surrounded by a laurel wreath. Two either side, there are ornate letter Ms. At the top of the box, IMPERIUM BRITANNICUM is engraved. The left side has the words BELGIUM, FRANCE, SERVIA, and the right side has the words JAPAN, RUSSIA, MONTE NEGRO. The bottom of the lid reads Christmas 1914. This box, originally filled with tobacco, was handed out to troops in December 1914 by Princess Mary for their service in War.
