History of Use
Piece of wood, from a stateroom stanchion or support frame from Pacific, washed up on the beach below Beacon Hill in Victoria 6 weeks after the ship went down. It bore the name S. P. Moody and his final message "All Lost". Moody's signature was confirmed by his family, who kept the macabre note from the grave for years.
