Description

Model of an admiralty anchor (shifting-stock anchor). There is a shackle in the ring, but no gravity band. The shackle pin is not threaded, but is merely jammed or sweated into the hole of the shackle. This model is made of iron from the munitions ship Mount Blanc which blew up in Halifax harbour in 1917.
