Description

Saxboard (or gunwale strake) from starboard hull of small schooner. Name, barely visible, appears to be Sparrow. 5 iron spikes run clear through the plank and protrude upward about 15cm. 5 more toward the stern don't protrude past the top. 8 smaller ones protrude downward, in addition to the down ends of the aforementioned 5. Curve lifts centre 7cm., and tapering at end identifies it as starboard. Letters approximately 2.5cm. thick, 16cm. high. Most prominent letter is "W"", which is in 150cm. from forward end.
