Hull of model sail boat with stand.
Stand: 29.5cm. by 21cm. by 14cm. Plain lumber, no paint.
- Hull: 71cm. by 20cm. by 16.5cm. Painted dark blue below the waterline and white above; the gunwale, deck and deck fittings of light varnished wood. Deck fittings: 46 brass eyelets for securing running and standing rigging, 6 brass rods for the boom tackle to slide on, 5 mast holes, 2 hatch covers, 2 doorways, 1 anchor winch, 1 steering station, 2 holders for bowsprit.
This sailing model was built by Captain Samuel Robinson circa 1950-1960. It was built as a training aid to inculcate understanding and recognition of sailing by youngsters.
