Wheelwright mallet made of beech-burl, the head of the mallet has a very slight arc to it, rectangular, squared ends and rounded edges. The handle is oval in shape and is tapered. The handle fits and protrudes through the middle of the head. There is a thin wafer of metal wedged in between the head and the handle. The top of the handle is rounded off. The head of the mallet is 13.2cm. long, 5.6cm. wide. The handle is 25cm. long, 1.8cm. thick.
