Item is an image of the vessel Amiral Duperre (II?). Due to the age of the photograph, this is not the original iron-clad Amiral Duperre.
Accompanying the photograph was a note that reads the following: "The S.S. "Amiral Duperre" carried 50,000 bushels of No. 2 and No. 3 red Alberta Winter Wheat on March 9th, 1909, from Vancouver to Liverpool, via Cape Horn, to order of Henry B. Rudolph, Manchester, England. Bills of lading made out by Cook & Company, Vancouver. Agents per B.W. Greer. The whole parcel of wheat was shipped by the Alberta Pacific Elevator Company."
