In 1961 her engine was removed and she was converted her to an unpowered vessel. In 1962 she was converted to a non-powered live aboard. Her registry closed and certificate cancelled as powered vessel Oct 2, 1961 in Vancouver, BC. As a non-powered vessel her status remains suspended. As USS Apc-15 she earned one battle star for World War II service in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. As Black Trader she was seen in use as a live aboard in the Fraser River delta area up until the mid 1990s. She is reported to have sank in a Fraser River Slough in 1998 after capsizing (no record of this source of this is presently available).
